TERMS & CONDITIONS

EQUIPMENT HIRE & EVENT PRODUCTION

These Terms & Conditions apply to all equipment hire, production services and event services supplied by Neighbourhood Productions Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”, “Hirer”).

1. DEFINITIONS

Equipment means all audio-visual, staging, lighting, power, rigging, decorative and related items listed in a quotation, tax invoice or hire contract, including all accessories, cables, consumables, cases and components.

​

Production Services means event production, technical design, planning, coordination, installation, operation, supervision, labour, production management, bump-in, operation, bump-out and derig services.

​

Hire Period means the period specified in the Quotation, commencing from the scheduled collection, delivery or bump-in time and ending upon return, collection or bump-out of the Equipment.

​

Quotation means a written quotation, proposal or hire contract issued by us.

Booking Confirmation means written acceptance of a Quotation, payment of any deposit, or instruction to proceed.

2. QUOTATIONS & BOOKINGS

All Quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.


A booking is confirmed upon receipt of written acceptance, payment, or instruction to proceed.


Estimates or proposals not labelled as a Quotation are indicative only and subject to change.
Any variations to scope, timing, venue or requirements may result in revised charges.

3. SCOPE OF SERVICES

We may supply equipment hire (dry hire and/or wet hire), production services, crew and labour, and event staging, lighting, audio, vision, power and rigging services.

​

Production Services are time-based and are deemed delivered once scheduled, allocated or commenced, regardless of event outcome.

​

We do not guarantee event outcomes, attendance, commercial success, weather conditions or artistic results.

​

4. HIRE PERIOD & USE OF EQUIPMENT

The Hire Period commences at the time specified in the Quotation.


The Hire Period ends when Equipment is returned to us or collected by us.


Equipment returned late will be charged at the full daily rate or part thereof.


No refunds apply for early return of Equipment for any reason.

You must use Equipment in a safe, proper and lawful manner, ensure only competent and licensed persons operate Equipment where required, ensure suitable power supply, weather protection and site conditions, and follow all instructions provided by us.

​

5. CONDITION, LOSS & DAMAGE

Equipment is supplied clean and in good working order. You must inspect Equipment on delivery.


You are responsible for all loss, theft or damage to Equipment during the Hire Period, except for fair wear and tear.

​

In the event of loss or damage, you are liable for the full repair or replacement cost and any ongoing hire charges until repair or replacement is completed.

​

Equipment must not be repaired or modified without our written consent.

​

6. WET HIRE & OPERATION

Where Equipment is operated exclusively by our crew, we remain responsible for operational control.

​

You remain responsible for damage caused by patrons, guests, third parties, venue staff, unsafe site conditions, weather exposure, or acts or omissions outside our reasonable control.

​

7. SITE CONDITIONS & VENUE RESPONSIBILITY

You warrant that venues and sites are suitable for installation, including floor loading capacity, rigging points, access, egress, clearances, and underground services and utilities.

While due care is taken, we are not responsible for site reinstatement, repairs or venue damage unless caused by our negligence.

8. FEES & PAYMENT

All fees are payable as specified in the Quotation.


Payment is required prior to commencement unless otherwise agreed in writing.

​

Overdue payments forfeit any applied discounts, accrue interest at 1.5% per month, and may incur debt recovery and legal costs.

​

A 2% surcharge applies to credit card payments over $1,000.


You are responsible for all delivery, freight and transport costs.

​

9. VARIATIONS & ADDITIONAL COSTS

Any variation requested by you may result in additional charges.


Variations within 48 hours of an event may incur premium rates.


Additional time, labour, equipment or redesign required due to changes are chargeable.

10. CANCELLATION

Upon confirmation, the full booking value is payable subject to the following minimum cancellation fees:

More than 7 days prior: Costs incurred to date
7 days prior: 25% of total booking value
3 days prior: 50%
48 hours prior: 75%
24 hours or less: 100%

​

Cancellation fees reflect preparation, crew allocation, equipment reservation and lost opportunity.

​

11. FORCE MAJEURE & WEATHER

We are not liable for failure or delay due to events beyond our control, including weather, acts of God, government restrictions or venue decisions.

​

Weather-related changes, downsizing or venue relocation do not constitute cancellation by us, and all incurred costs remain payable.

​

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.


Our liability is limited to repair, replacement or re-supply of Equipment or Services.

​

13. INDEMNITY

You indemnify us against all claims, losses, damages and expenses arising from use of Equipment, site conditions, acts or omissions of you or third parties, or breach of these Terms.

​

14. TERMINATION

We may terminate services and recover Equipment if payment is overdue or these Terms are breached.


You indemnify us for costs arising from such action.

​

15. GENERAL

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.


If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains enforceable.


These Terms apply to all services supplied by Neighbourhood Productions and are available at www.neighbourhoodproductions.com.

AGREEMENT

By accepting a Quotation, making payment or instructing us to proceed, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
